Staff Profiles

Andy Carlton
PGA Professional

Andy is Club Professional at Paisley Golf Club; Andy joins us from Cawder Golf Club where he was Head Assistant for 3 years. There he has implemented many coaching and custom fitting programs and brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge of both Teaching and Custom-Fitting. Andy turned Professional in 2002 and has since had success on the playing side of the game and built up a reputation as a coach that has seen him teach County players and Euro Pro Tour players.

Using an initial analysis of the players mental, physical, technical and lifestyle factors, he will build up a coaching plan to suit the individual. With his laid back manner and firm teaching beliefs, you will find it hard not to enjoy the process of Andy improving your game.

Fergus Smith
Assistant Professional

Fergus has been a member of Paisley since he was 10 years old and has played a pivotal role in helping the Junior Newton Shield team to their success in recent years. Fergus has enjoyed great success on the playing side of the game and intends to keep that going when he starts his PGA training in October.

Fergus has a tremendous appetite for the game of golf and this reflects in his character when greeted in the Pro Shop. He will start his PGA Assistants training in October and will then be eligible to start Junior Coaching.
