The Course
| The course at Paisley Golf Club presents
an enjoyable, interesting and challenging round of golf for
players of all standards. |

The course itself is moorland
in nature but it is not as hilly as may be imagined. The fairways
are fairly wide and most are tree-lined. The well-bunkered greens
tend to be large and undulating and, as such, test the putting
ability of the player.
Among the many features of the course are the 3 testing par-5s
and, in particular, the 4 par-3s- none of which can be regarded
as "a wee flick". All 4 tee shots require a strong
and accurate mid-iron (at least) to find the green. |

The "signature"
hole on the golf course is the par 3 15th (pictured left) where
the tee shot is played from an elevated tee, over a number of
trees to a low-lying and well-bunkered green some 200 yards
away. A birdie here or even a par has been well-earned.
Apart from an excellent design and lay-out , the condition of
the course is also first-class, thanks to a dedicated team of
Green-keeping staff and an extensive and successful drainage
up-grading and expansion programme which commenced at the end
of 1999 and continues today.

Resulting from the location of the course , on top of the Gleniffer
Braes and some 800 feet above sea-level, golfers can enjoy a
view that few other courses can match. To the west can be seen
Goat Fell and the other Arran hills, to the north the surface
of Loch Lomond and above the Kilpatricks, the tops of Ben More,
Ben Venu, Ben Vane and Ben Ledi. Looking to the east , Kirk
O' Shotts can be picked out and further round to the south-east,
Tinto Hill around Lanark can be seen.
An excellent golf course in spectacular surroundings !!
